Our Projects & Impact
Delivering robust, durable, and certified HDPE piping infrastructure for agricultural irrigation, municipal water supply, and industrial waste management across Northern India.
HDPE Underground Pipeline for Treated Water Irrigation at Mega Food Park
Project Overview
This turnkey infrastructure project focuses on the utilization of treated wastewater to promote sustainable agricultural practices. Executed for the Department of Soil and Water Conservation, Punjab, the project involves the end-to-end installation of 5.5 kilometers of premium PE-80 HDPE underground piping (200mm and 250mm diameters). Beyond trenching and pipe laying, the comprehensive scope encompasses advanced civil and electrical works, including the construction of a dedicated 6x4m pump house and the installation of a high-efficiency 15 HP monoblock pumping system controlled by Variable Frequency Drives (VFD). This closed-loop water reuse system efficiently channels treated effluent from the 5 MLD CETP-cum-STP at Mega Food Park, Ladhowal, directly to agricultural fields, ensuring robust water conservation and reliable irrigation delivery.
Pipeline Specifications
The pipeline network is engineered for high durability and optimal flow characteristics, utilizing top-tier materials that strictly conform to Indian Standard requirements for agricultural water supply.
200 mm - 250 mm OD HDPE Pipes
PE 80 • PN 4 rating
All HDPE joints were executed using precision butt-fusion welding to ensure zero leakage. Excavations were conducted up to a 1.5m depth with strict adherence to correct gradients and soil compaction standards.
Execution & Handover
- ✔ Manufacturing & Factory Testing (FAT): Production of PE-80 HDPE pipes, valves, and mechanical components at the manufacturing facility, followed by rigorous internal quality control (QC) and factory acceptance testing to ensure compliance with IS-4984-2016 standards.
- ✔ Third-Party Inspection (TPI) Pre-Dispatch Audit: An independent Third-Party Inspection agency (e.g., Shri Ram Lab) conducts a pre-dispatch quality audit at the factory, verifying ISI marks, pressure ratings, and material specifications before approving the lot for dispatch.
- ✔ Material Dispatch & Contractor Site Receiving: The approved materials are securely transported from the factory to the project site. The contractor takes delivery, verifies the inventory against TPI clearance reports, checks for transit damage, and ensures proper on-site storage.
- ✔ Site Execution & TPI Monitoring: The contractor executes the installation (trenching, butt-fusion welding, civil construction, and pump setup) according to approved designs. TPI conducts periodic site inspections to verify that construction quality and pipe laying align with technical specifications.
- ✔ Final Hydraulic Testing & Official Handover: Post-installation, the contractor performs mandatory hydraulic pressure testing in the presence of the TPI and the client (Department of Soil and Water Conservation, Punjab). Upon successful validation, TPI issues the final completion certificate, and the functional project is handed over
